About me

I have a number of years of personal experience in Body Control Pilates, which I started after advice from a physiotherapist. I have appreciated the benefit of Pilates for my own health as well as improved performance in the sport I do - climbing, mountain biking, skiing.

I fully believe Pilates will benefit EVERYONE, whether to improve performance in sport, injury prevention, keeping mobile in older age and for those with chronic illness.

I have a specific interest in those with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) and Hypermobile Enlos Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), neurological conditions such as Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis along with other chronic illness.

Qualifications:

  • Body Control Pilates Teacher (Level 3)

  • Pilates for Bone Health (Level 3)

  • Pre and post natal Pilates (Level 3)

Other courses attended:

  • Small ball and toning circle

  • Pilates with the Band

  • Understanding Neurological conditions

  • Pilates and Hypermobility

  • Pilates for Cyclists

Other Qualifications:

  • Registered nurse working as a nurse practitioner in general practice

  • BASI level 2 ski instructor

  • BASI level 3 module in sport science

  • Valid first aid certificate
